Hey all you sparkers out there. Introducing the first of a series of videos concocted by myself and the admin team in response to a members survey a few weeks ago that got the overwhelming response for the need for "Tone Build Tutorials". These videos are designed for anyone that might be new to guitars and amps and need some guidance navigating the spark app, also for those that want to get a little more out of their spark, or those that are curious even about how I go about building tones myself and using them in a recording situation.
In this first tutorial I delve into a really basic "Clean Funk Tone", coz you gotta start somewhere right. I also talk about the importance of utilising your guitars volume and tone controls as well as changing up your pickup combinations. At the end I showcase the tone I have built in short tune that I have recorded from scratch. In that demo vid you'll get to see which pickups im using for any given part, and there are a few.
The second video which I will release in a few days will tackle a "Ambient Clean Tone". Lots of delays, reverbs, etc. Gilmour inspired, to say the least, with another tune I've written and recorded at the end.
Oh, the admin team and myself also hope to do some live streams as part of this series, that way we can hopefully address any questions that don't get answered in these videos.
