Mog is one of my favorite characters in FFVI. I’ve always found his visual design very fun and iconic. In gameplay, his use of “dances” to inflict various elemental effects was always a blast (even if most of the time he would stumble)! My focus on this arrangement was on having FUN and getting the listener to dance! I chose to arrange a groove that alternated between a hip-hop and a swing feel. The rhythm section flawlessly navigates these style changes. I just love Thomas Davis on bass, Shawn Purcell on guitar and Greg Sadler on drums! Check out the slaps and wah!

Ruscel Torres (band lead of the Crash Course Jazz Fusion band) gives us a Cory Henry-ish synth solo which is all sorts of fun! Chris Ott, trombonist with the Huntertones goes electric - and delivers an exciting over-driven trombone solo.

I’d also like to shout out our guest percussionists, Sean Hansen (glockenspiel, cowbell, tambourine) and V-Ron Media (xylophone) who bring a lot of fun and smiles to this arrangement!
