Leee John, Ashley Ingram and Errol Kennedy were the men behind the UK band Imagination, formed in the spring of 1981 with band's name having been inspired by John Lennon. The trio recorded a demo of their "Body Talk" which caught the attention of Steven Nicholas Jolley and Tony Swain who produced their song and were rewarded with a #4 UK hit that lead to their biggest hit worldwide was 1982's #2 UK "Just An Illusion" which reached #15 on the US disco chart, it totally missed the Hot100. Imagination's follow up to "Just An Illusion" was the #5 UK, "Music & Lights". They managed to stay on the UK charts with various releases right up to 1988 where they had a #1 disco hit with "Instinctual". Their last charting single was 1989's "Love's Taking Over" Kennedy had left the band in 1987, and Leee replaced him with Nat Augustin and Peter Royer and then broke up the band in 1992. Since then Lee has gone back to acting which he started doing in 1983 after appearing on "Doctor Who". Ingram ended up writing songs with Des'ree like "You Gotta Be" a worldwide smash.
